Coffee touches the lives of millions of people each day. It fuels our energy, fills our hearts, and connects us to other people. For many, the bold aroma of freshly brewed coffee that fills the kitchen every morning brings them to a happy place. We invite coffee into our lives each day: onto our kitchen table in the morning, as we gather to meet friends at a local shop, and as the perfect pairing for after dinner dessert. Our lives simply wouldn’t be the same without coffee! Obviously coffee is not needed to survive (although some might argue otherwise); however, the fact that it has become a staple in our culture and daily routines shows just how incredibly important it is to us. The question is: how much do you really know about the drink you depend on to wake you up and fuel each day?
La Terza primarily focuses on three pillars of coffee: sourcing, roasting and delivering. We want to source the highest quality bean, roast with precision, and deliver customers the freshest coffee possible. Beyond our passion of sharing a phenomenal cup, La Terza prides itself in being an educator for all coffee lovers – newbies and “coffee snobs” alike – and we cater to each individual’s needs and curiosities.
Every Saturday morning, La Terza holds a Roasterie Tour for the public to enter our coffee loving world in Lockland. The first section of the tour guides you through the history of the coffee industry: where it began, how it spread, and it impacts on our present day. Secondly, guests will sample coffee from the three distinct growing regions, acting as detectives toward taste, acidity, and body. Lastly, participants will help roast their very own batch of beans and experience the freshest possible cup, just minutes after roasting.
La Terza is different than other coffee companies because we are a full resource center for all things coffee – whether you’re an individual looking to improve your at-home brewing experience, a coffee shop seeking equipment and training, or a restaurant who needs high-quality, wholesale coffee. Simply put, we are here to help you have a great cup of coffee, time and time again. There are no silly questions about the story of how coffee goes from crop to cup. We hope to transform one’s appreciation of coffee through the beauty of a freshly brewed cup and by sharing the impact that coffee has on both people in the United States and families around the world.
Each tour is slightly different based on the interests of the particular group. We are here as educators and interested in any questions you may have about coffee. La Terza is the only place in the Cincinnati area that has a coffee Roasterie Tour and we pride ourself in making it worth the trip. Our tour was recently recognized in Cincinnati Magazine as one of the “Top 5 Gifts That Aren’t Stuff.” We also recently welcomed a group tour as a part of Yelp’s Cincy Made Series (you can check out some of their reviews here).
