How To: Brewing Methods

Drip Coffee Pot

1. For American Standard coffee makers we recommend 10g of coffee per cup (6oz of water), and for European

Standard coffee makers we recommend 7g of coffee per cup (4.2oz of water).

2. Once you have measured out the appropriate water/coffee ratio, you will then place your ground coffee in a

paper filter and level out before placing in your coffee brewer.

3. Brew and enjoy!

*We utilize the SCAA Golden Cup Standard of 55g/1L ±10%.


French Press

For this brewing method you will need a **French press and a timer.

1. Weigh out 22g of coffee, grind coarse and add to carafe.

2. Use 350-360g of water heated to 205°F.

3. Bloom the grounds by wetting them and allowing it breath for 30 seconds.

4. Give a nice stir, then add remaining water.

5. Insert the top of the press with the plunger in the up position.

6. Set the timer for 3-4 minutes.

7. Press plunger slowly to strain.

8. Completely empty the coffee into another mug to avoid over extraction and enjoy!

*We utilize the SCAA Golden Cup Standard of 55g/1L ±10%.

**Please note that your French Press will vary in size so adjust recipe accordingly. For this recipe we recommend

using a 4-cup (16oz) French Press.


Hario V60 Pour Over

For this brewing method you will need a V60 funnel, a scale, size O2 Hario filters, and a gooseneck kettle.

1. Crease filter along the textured edge, insert in the V60 funnel and rinse with hot water (205°F)

2. Dump rinse water

3. Measure out 22g of coffee and grind to medium coarseness similar to grain sugar/kosher salt

4. Tare scale and wet grounds with 50g of hot water; stir briefly; then bloom for 30 seconds to let the coffee Degas

5. Pour water in a concentric pattern avoiding the filter. Stop pouring around 350-360g

Cold Brew

For this brewing method you will need a **French Press however please note that this is just one of the many ways

to create your cold brew. Feel free to experiment with different steeping times and brewing methods!

1. Grind 42g of coarsely ground coffee and pour it into the French Press.

2. Add 350-360g of room temperature.

3. Give a quick stir and then insert the top of the press with the plunger in the up position.

4. Let steep in refrigerator for 12-24 hours depending on your desired brew strength.

5. After steeping, stir and plunge the French Press lever.

6. Serve over ice and enjoy!

**Please note that your French Press may vary in size so adjust recipe accordingly. For this recipe we recommend

using a 4-cup (16oz) French Press.
